About Linda

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the Institute of Integrative Therapists (IATP), the British Psychological Society, the Association for Coaching and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC). My full professional details are public on LinkedIn

My background in Education entailed working with children, teachers and parents who were experiencing significant educational and social challenges and I became very aware of  the impact on their emotional and mental wellbeing.  I subsequently trained in coaching psychology, psychotherapy and counselling, which in turn led me to personal consultancy. This for me was the ‘missing link’, combining the best from both counselling and coaching.

My work in schools these days focuses on coaching and developing middle/senior leadership.

And as I believe it is important to ‘give back’ I work as a volunteer therapist with adolescents experiencing difficulties in their lives.

About Me

"As an Integrative Coach Therapist,  I am passionate about empowering people to lead meaningful and happy lives, overcoming any barriers which hold them back, helping them make real and lasting change.

"My approach is very much ‘person centred’ as I believe the first point in any kind of coaching/therapeutic relationship is allowing space and time for a trusting relationship to develop. I also believe that we have our own internal resources and we are all unique.

"I take the approach that ‘if you don’t have time to get to know me, why would you trust me , and why would you want to share your thoughts and feelings or listen to what I say?

"In my private practice, I see clients for personal consultancy, where I use therapy and/or coaching to help clients to 'help themselves'.  I believe in working with my clients, not doing ‘for’ them."
